Glad you asked! Let me start by saying I kinda hate social media! <3
I made this website so that I never had to deal with the pressure of an algorithm when I posted my art online. I wanted to put everything I made somewhere safe where people who wanted to see it could, and people who wanted to buy it didn't have to jump through seven thousand links and websites to do it! So this is a portfolio, but also due to the nature of my work also functions as a weird very public secret diary. A lot of my work is rooted in nostalgia and is based on my personal experiences and things *I* enjoy, so it makes sense to me that this website slowly became more like my own personal corner of the internet. I also think attaching an artist to their work gives everything a layer of context that allows things to resonate with the viewer more. You dig my stuff because you dig me. :)

I've used some iteration of Leda as my online handle on like... every social media since I was way too young to have a social media. And I like chai. Sorry there's no deep lore. It just sounded cool smashed together, like most good names.
